About Greg Neffinger

I grew up in West Springfield in a family of nine kids. When I was 13, my mother passed away. Our dad taught us losing our mom was no excuse for not doing the right thing. The point is my family pulled together and got through a tough time. I have been involved in the community my whole life because of the help my family received.

I want for West Side the same things that I want for my family, a safe, healthy environment to raise our kids with economic opportunities. My wife Yael and I have been married for twenty years. We have two lovely daughters, Elisheva, 19, a sophmore at UMass and Galya, 16, a Junior at West Springfield High School.

I served on the West Springfield Zoning Board of Appeals for 16 years and was Chairman of the Historic Commission. I am the current President of the West Springfield Rotary. I have been an architect and a small business owner in West Springfield for twenty years. I understand the need to create jobs, provide real health care reform and reduce costs for working families and small businesses. I was involved in the Theater Project and later designed the Majestic Theater in West Springfield.
